ChariTree 2025: Light of hope

As the holiday season draws near, FEU Cavite once again brings warmth and generosity to the forefront through its annual ChariTree initiative. This year’s theme, “Light of Hope,” continues the tradition of spreading joy and solidarity to those in need, reminding the community that even the smallest acts of kindness can shine brightly in the darkest times.
What is ChariTree?
Launched in 2017, ChariTree is FEU Cavite’s signature Christmas charity campaign that transforms the campus into a beacon of hope. Each year, students, employees, parents/ guardians, and alumni come together to decorate a symbolic tree with donations and pledges, all aimed at uplifting marginalized communities. More than just a festive display, ChariTree embodies the FEU Cavite Tamaraw’s core value of Compassion.
Beneficiaries of ChariTree2025
This year, ChariTree2025 extends its light to two meaningful causes:
1. San Jose Balay Alima Foundation, Inc.
Located in Barangay Carasuchi, Indang, Cavite, the San Jose Balay Alima Foundation is a non-government, non-profit organization dedicated to caring for abandoned and neglected elderly individuals. Formerly known as San Jose Bahay Kalinga, the foundation provides shelter, food, and emotional support to senior citizens who have been left without family or resources. Through ChariTree2025, FEU Cavite hopes to bring comfort and dignity to these lolos and lolas who deserve love and care in their twilight years.
2. Victims of Typhoons Tino and Uwan
In response to the devastating impact of Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan, portions of the ChariTree2025 donations will be allocated to relief foundations by reputable organizations (e.g. Red Cross Philippines) that have been actively supporting affected communities . By contributing to ChariTree2025, the FEU Cavite community becomes part of a larger movement of compassion and resilience.
Lighting the Way Forward
ChariTree2025: Light of Hope is more than a seasonal campaign—it is a call to action. It reminds us that in times of crisis and uncertainty, we can choose to be the light for others. Whether through a donation, a message of encouragement, or a simple act of kindness, every contribution helps illuminate the path toward healing and hope.
