Daniel and Kaleb cited as Merit Awardees in PPO 2026
Two of our FEU Cavite Tamaraws, Daniel Martin Bender and Kaleb Modesto, from Grade 12 STEM Selflessness, were among the 143 Qualifying Round Merit Awardees from the Philippine Physics Olympiad 2026. This citation is awarded to contestants who score higher than the 70th percentile in the PPO Qualifying Round. Daniel and Kaleb were among the 627 Qualifying Contestants who took the exam at the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines Diliman, last January 24, 2026. The three-hour exam comprised of different test types, ranging from multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blanks to open-response, covered General Physics topics.
There were also six (6) other students who represented FEU Cavite in the competition. Last February 18, the list of the National Finals Qualifiers was published through the Philippine Physics Olympiad’s Facebook page. They are set to compete on March 21-22, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Los Baños Institute of Physics.
We thank you, Daniel and Kaleb, for your bravery. Congratulations on your achievement!
