FEU Cavite Basic Education Department’s student-representatives bagged numerous awards and prizes from the recently concluded National Astronomy Week 2024 organized by the Philippine Astronomical Society, Inc. The event—with the theme “PARSEC: Popularizing Astronomy in the Region through Science Education and Communication”—was held on February 24, 2024, at Parañaque Science High School and was capped with a series of competitions and workshops.

FEU Cavite Tamaraws dominated the different events and contests and brought home the following awards:

• First place – AstroQuiz Bee (Jerome James Dela Torre, Janelle Lucille Urgel, Meil Xyron Mariñas)
• First place – AstroLit: Poem (Jack Gareth Bahia)
• Second place – AstroLit: Poem (Joserah Emmanuelle Santos)
• Second place – AstroLit: Essay (Daniel Lorenzo Tabirara)
• Third place – AstroLit: Poem (Sebastian Kurt Espino)
• Sixth place – AstroLit: Essay (Ramises Urbano and Kaleb Modesto)

These achievements would not be possible without the guidance of the teachers who served as coaches, namely:
