FEU Cavite x DOST Cavite: Empowering Education through STARBOOKS Integration

On August 19, 2025, FEU Cavite, through its Library Services led by Ms. Elaine Hernandez, proudly formalized its partnership with the Department of Science and Technology – Cavite (DOST Cavite) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the integration of STARBOOKS (Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS) into the university’s learning ecosystem.

The event opened with a warm Welcome Remarks from Dr. Myrna P. Quinto, Executive Director of FEU Cavite, emphasizing the university’s commitment to enhancing access to quality educational resources. Ms. Gilda S. De Jesus, Provincial Director of DOST Cavite, followed with an inspiring Message of Support, highlighting the transformative potential of STARBOOKS in enriching both teaching and learning experiences.

The MOA Signing marks a significant milestone for FEU Cavite, paving the way for expanded access to digital science and technology resources for students and faculty. To ensure effective utilization, Mr. Laurence Angelo F. Bago, Project Technical Assistant I of DOST Cavite, led an engaging orientation and hands-on training session on STARBOOKS.

To conclude the event, Ms. De Jesus also introduced various DOST programs and technologies that FEU Cavite may explore for future collaboration—opening exciting possibilities for innovation and academic growth.
