Historic First: FEU Cavite BS Nursing’s Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony
October 15, 2024– FEU Cavite marked a significant milestone with the historic first capping, pinning, and candle lighting ceremony of its 2nd year BS Nursing students. This momentous event was led by esteemed figures in the institution, namely: Dean of Nursing Ms. Riza B. Lumagui, RN, MAN, MBA, Dean of the Higher Education Department Dr. Ildefonso R. Fulgar III, and Executive Director Dr. Myrna P. Quinto. The ceremony, held at the HED Events Room, was a heartfelt celebration of the students’ dedication and hard work.
The highlight of the ceremony was the candle lighting of the lamps, a tradition that pays homage to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The Events Room was filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment as each student received their cap and pin, symbolizing their official entry into the nursing profession. The ceremony was not only a celebration of their achievements but also a reaffirmation of their commitment to serve and care for others.
This historic event at FEU Cavite is a testament to the institution’s dedication to nurturing future healthcare professionals who are not only skilled but also compassionate and dedicated to making a difference in the world.
