Professional Excellence Program: Resilience in Leadership

FEU Cavite conducted the Professional Excellence Program: Resilience in Leadership on September 12, 2025, at the BED Innovation Room. The specialized training was designed for the school’s academic and administrative heads.

The program highlighted the essential role of resilience as a cornerstone of effective leadership, particularly in navigating challenges in education and organizational management. With rapid changes in academic landscapes, workplace dynamics, and student needs, the training emphasized strategies for fostering adaptability, maintaining balance under pressure, and leading with clarity during uncertain times.

The morning session was facilitated by Dr. Myrna P. Quinto, Executive Director of FEU Cavite, who provided valuable insights about what it takes to be an FEU Leader. In the afternoon session, participants gained a broader perspective on organizational resilience from Mr. Carlos Fedelino M. Valencia, Jr., Vice President for Human Resource of Far Eastern University. His session focused on leadership style, competencies, as well as resilient leadership in a VUCAD (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous, and Disruptive) environment.

Through a combination of interactive discussions, practical workshops, and reflective activities, participants explored how resilient leadership not only strengthens personal growth but also inspires teams to achieve collective goals. The sessions also provided opportunities for heads of offices and departments to share experiences, collaborate on solutions, and reinforce a culture of support and innovation within the FEU Cavite community.

By investing in the resilience and professional excellence of its leaders, FEU Cavite reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a thriving academic and administrative environment that upholds the University’s values of fortitude, excellence, and uprightness.

This initiative marks another step in FEU Cavite’s ongoing pursuit of leadership development, ensuring that its administrators and educators remain equipped to guide their teams with strength, compassion, and vision. The program is spearheaded by the Institutional Committee on Training and Development (ICTD) composed of Ms. Judith Magsino (HR Officer), Dr. Ildefonso R. Fulgar III (College Dean), Dr. Jomar Redubla (BED Director), Dr. Matthew M. Nepomuceno (External Affairs Officer), and Mr. Emelson Reyes (Guidance Counselor).
