FEU Cavite HM Faculty members undergo International Training

Universitas Bakrie, Jakarta Indonesia recently hosted a comprehensive short course on Halal Food Standard Compliance, entitled “From Concept to Implementation.” This event, held from November 10 to 19, 2024, aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of Halal food standards.

The course was made possible through the generous support of the Higher Education Upskilling and Study for Advancement of Staff and Faculty (HUSAY) grant, provided by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Universitas Bakrie. This initiative underscores the commitment of both institutions to advancing educational opportunities and professional development in the field of hospitality management.

Two distinguished participants from the FEU Cavite Hospitality Management Department were selected for this scholarship: Ms. Pamela Michelle Rivera (Department Chair) and Mr. Harris Solis (Kitchen Laboratory Custodian)

Both Ms. Rivera and Mr. Solis brought their unique perspectives and expertise to the course, contributing to a rich and engaging learning environment. HM students will surely benefit and learn from the knowledge and skills that Ms. Rivera and Ms. Solis gained from the said short course. Their participation highlights the importance of continuous professional development as well as FEU Cavite’s thrust for Internationalization in maintaining high standards and quality education.
