FEU Cavite goes Solar

May 29, 2024 marked a significant milestone for FEU Cavite as WEnergy Power Pilipinas (WEnergy Global) formally turned over the Solar Panels that were installed at the rooftops of the Basic Education and Higher Education Buildings of FEU Cavite. This event symbolizes the institution’s commitment to sustainability and its proactive approach to environmental stewardship.

 

The ceremony was led by Mr. Juan Miguel Montinola, President of the FEU Group of Schools, Dr. Myrna P. Quinto, Executive Director of FEU Cavite, and Mr. Quintin Pastrana, President of WEnergy Power Pilipinas. The said event was also attended by the FEU Manila Corporate Affairs Office as well as the department heads of FEU Cavite.

 

During the program, President Johnny shared about the sustainability efforts of the FEU Group of Schools. He explained that the installation of Solar Panels is crucial in managing the energy consumption of the school. He also stressed that this project is just one of the many initiatives towards sustainability, something that FEU also wants to inculcate among its students and stakeholders. Meanwhile, Mr. Pastrana explained about the benefits of Solar Energy on education, health, and the community as a whole. Most importantly he described how it positively impacts the environment.

The school believes that education plays a crucial role in addressing environmental issues and is dedicated in preparing its students and stakeholders to be part of the solution.
