Transcend 2026: Advancing Research Beyond Boundaries
The 4th FEU Cavite Transcend Conference 2026, themed “Transformative Research and Innovation for Sustainable Development Beyond Boundaries,” successfully gathered researchers, educators, students, professionals, and community advocates in a dynamic exchange of ideas aimed at advancing research for societal impact.
Hosted by the National Service Training Program (NSTP) through the initiative of the Research Office of FEU Cavite, the conference underscored the institution’s commitment to promoting research that extends beyond academic requirements and contributes to sustainable development, community engagement, and nation-building.
The conference received 116 paper submissions from various institutions and disciplines, of which 86 were accepted following a rigorous peer-review process. The quality of the conference was strengthened by the contributions of 17 internal reviewers from FEU Cavite and 23 external reviewers from local and international institutions, whose expertise ensured the academic rigor of the accepted studies.
Transcend 2026 welcomed 387 participants, including presenters, observers, and research advisers from institutions such as Adamson University, Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, Cavite State University, De La Salle University–Dasmariñas, De La Salle University Integrated School, Elizabeth Seton School South, Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite, Exact Colleges of Asia, Far Eastern University, FEU High School, FEU Alabang, Good Samaritan Colleges, International School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Philippine Christian University–Dasmariñas, Philippine Normal University, PHINMA St. Jude College, President Corazon C. Aquino High School, Saint Paul University Quezon City, San Sebastian College – Recoletos de Cavite, Santiago Integrated National High School, Dr. Alejandro Albert Elementary School, Southern Luzon State University, Unida Christian Colleges, and FEU Cavite College of Nursing. The conference provided a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, collaboration, and scholarly engagement.
A highlight of the event was its distinguished roster of plenary speakers. Dr. Brian Bantugan of St. Paul University Manila emphasized the role of research in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and addressing pressing societal challenges through innovation and collaboration. Mr. John Israel Cunanan, Fellow of the Teacher Education Council, encouraged participants to embrace inquiry-led innovation, emphasizing that meaningful questions are the foundation of impactful research. Meanwhile, Dr. Juanito Anot, Director of the University Research Center of Far Eastern University, shared practical strategies for publishing in reputable journals and advancing research dissemination.
On the second day, Ms. Kalyani Rao of India, Climate Reality Leader and Founder and Vice President of the Global Oceanic Adventures & Environmental Conservation Foundation, delivered an inspiring plenary session on Green Education. She emphasized the importance of integrating environmental awareness and sustainability into education, encouraging educators and researchers to promote climate action and environmental stewardship through teaching, research, and community engagement.
The second day also featured research presentations from professional, undergraduate, and senior high school categories, showcasing innovative studies and interdisciplinary perspectives that addressed contemporary issues and community needs. These presentations reflected the conference’s commitment to nurturing a culture of research excellence among learners and professionals alike.
More than a venue for presenting research findings, Transcend 2026 served as a catalyst for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation. It reinforced the idea that research achieves its greatest value when translated into actions that improve lives, strengthen communities, and contribute to sustainable development.
As the conference concluded, it left participants with renewed inspiration to pursue research that transcends disciplinary boundaries and creates meaningful impact. Through the collective efforts of organizers, reviewers, speakers, presenters, and participants, Transcend 2026 affirmed that transformative research remains a powerful force in shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future.
