FEU Cavite actively supports CHED Regional Office IV’s thrust towards Internationalization through CAIRO

CAIRO OFFICERS

September 26, 2024—A significant milestone in the realm of higher education and international relations was achieved with the establishment of the CALABARZON Association of International Relations Officers (CAIRO) as well as the election of its founding officers. The event took place at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office in Lipa City, Batangas and apt venue as CAIRO is borne out of CHED CALABARZON leadership, particularly Dr. Freddie B. Bulauan, OIC, Office of the Director IV.

A Gathering of Minds

The inauguration and election of CAIRO was attended by esteemed representatives from various higher education institutions (HEIs) across the CALABARZON region. The event was graced by key officials from CHED, including Mr. Pelagio C. Labang, JR., OIC – Chief Administrative Officer/ IZN Focal Person, who emphasized the importance of fostering international collaborations and enhancing the global presence of local institutions. 

CAIRO Officers

On September 26, 2024, the elected CAIRO officers took their Oath of Office at the CHED CALABARZON office. Each of the five provinces in Region 4A (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, & Quezon) is well represented by a higher education institution. The following are the esteemed officers of the newly-established organization which specifically focuses on the region’s internationalization efforts:
